Easy

the Basica

It is the nature of water to flow easily. Its avenue can be shut off or constricted, but this does not change the nature of the water. Its ability to flow is not damaged, and it will resume if interference is removed. All manner of complex devices may be rigged to stop it, but none of them change the nature of water itself.

What is the matter with people when they become unloving is not that loving becomes difficult. It is always easy to love. But it is also easy to be hurt, easy to come to desire to block love in response to that hurt, and easy to learn to block it, even unto the entrenching of a habit, once the desire is developed. The methods and justifications for this may grow increasingly intricate over time. But it is not the nature of love that has changed. What has changed is the opportunity given it.

  Do not overcomplicate this.
