The Naming of Things:

  By the time the location of a moving object is decided, it is no longer there.

  By the time a name is put to a thing, the thing named no longer exists.



The Showing of Things:

  When blood is in the vein, it is blue. When the vein is opened and the blood shown, it is red. One cannot so expose the blood to display its blueness.

  While still continuing to live, to be laid low is to be made low. To proclaim that it has been done to oneself is arrogance.
